DAN in REAL LIFE

DAN IN REAL LIFE

DAN IN REAL LIFE (PG) COMEDY (98 Mins)

Touchstone Pictures and Focus Features

Warning - this is a secular movie without a Christian world-wide view per see, so we only recommend this film for older teenagers and adults. While we are not great fans of Steve Carell, but we think this is his best movie so far.

We like the fact that in this movie about a single parent, he is not the typical "divorced parent" that is shown as the "normal family situation" in so many movies. He is a widower, lonely and struggling to do his best to love his children and nurture them.

(Information below is from the movie jacket:)

"Steve Carell (The 40-year Old Virgin, TV's The Office) Hollywood's leading funnyman, stars in the hilarious comedy that's bursting with charm -- a movie you'll watch again and again.

Advice columnist Dan Burns (Steve Carell) is an expert on relationships, but somehow struggles to succeed as a brother, a son and a single parent to three precocious daughters. Things get even more complicated when Dan finds out that the woman he falls in love with is actually his brother's new girlfriend. Carell is joined by a brillant all-star supporting cast, including Juliette Binoche, Dane Cood, John Mahoney and Dianne Wiest, for a heartfelt, fun-filled comedy that's "laugh-out_loud funny.

- Seve Oldfield, Fox.

"The Feel-Great Comedy of the Year." - Pete Hammond, Maxim.
